Boeing Cleared to Raise 737 Max Production to 47 Jets Monthly as China Orders Resume
Boeing has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) clearance to increase its 737 Max production to 47 aircraft per month from the previous 42. This increase follows the FAA cap instituted after the Alaska Airlines door-plug incident and is boosted by a recent commitment from China to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft, marking the first major Chinese commercial jet order since 2017. CEO Kelly Ortberg expects to reach this higher output rate within the next couple of months.
